Accelerated trauma healing in concentrated time.

Online EMDR Intensives in California, Pennsylvania, & Virginia

Stop managing your trauma. Start healing it. Your breakthrough is waiting.

Transform Trauma In Days, Not Years.

Traditional weekly therapy can feel frustratingly slow when you're ready to heal. You might leave sessions feeling like you've just scratched the surface, only to spend the week waiting for your next appointment while old patterns continue to run your life. EMDR intensive sessions offer a different path—concentrated healing that allows your brain to process trauma more completely and efficiently.

If you're tired of managing symptoms and ready for genuine transformation, EMDR intensives can help you break through stuck patterns and reclaim your life in a matter of days rather than months or years.

You deserve healing that matches your readiness for change.

When Your Brain Needs Time And Space To Heal

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) works by helping your brain process traumatic memories the way it naturally wants to—moving them from a state of emotional activation into integrated, manageable memories. However, this process often requires sustained focus and uninterrupted time that traditional 50-minute sessions can't provide.

EMDR intensives might be right for you if:

  • You feel stuck despite months or years of traditional therapy or EMDR work

  • Traumatic memories still feel vivid and emotionally overwhelming

  • You experience trauma symptoms like flashbacks, nightmares, or panic attacks

  • You're struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, or attachment wounds

  • You feel ready for deeper healing but traditional therapy feels too slow

  • You have limited time due to work, family, or geographic constraints

  • You want to make significant progress before a major life transition

  • Previous therapy helped but you feel like there's more work to do

Common issues addressed in EMDR intensives:

  • Single-incident trauma (accidents, medical procedures, assaults)

  • Complex trauma and childhood abuse

  • Attachment trauma and relationship patterns

  • Anxiety and panic disorders with traumatic roots

  • Depression linked to unresolved trauma

  • Grief and loss that feels "stuck"

  • Performance anxiety and creative blocks

  • Medical trauma and chronic illness adjustment

EMDR intensives allow your nervous system the time it needs to process completely and for you to fully “drop in” to the work, often leading to breakthroughs that would take months to achieve in weekly sessions.

EMDR Intensive Sessions

Why Choose an EMDR Intensive?

EMDR intensive sessions provide extended, focused time for your brain to process trauma without the interruption of returning to daily life and stress. This approach often leads to more complete processing and longer-lasting results.

What Makes My Approach Unique

I combine EMDR with attachment and distress tolerance techniques to address trauma holistically. The extended time allows us to work with your nervous system's natural rhythms, taking breaks when needed and following your processing to completion.

Your Intensive Experience Includes:

  • Pre-intensive interview (90 minutes) - Planning your specific treatment goals, building resources, and ensuring readiness

  • Intensive processing day(s) - Extended EMDR work with regular breaks and support, 3 hours of processing per day.

  • Integration session (90 minutes, 3-day intensives only) - Solidifying changes and planning ongoing support

Each intensive includes plenty of breaks to process, move, and recharge. You’ll never be pushed beyond your comfort zone.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Good candidates have some therapy experience, adequate emotional stability for deep work, and strong motivation for healing. We'll assess your readiness thoroughly during the consultation process.

  • Traditional 50-minute sessions can often create a “start-stop” pattern, leaving you feeling open and activated without enough time for resolution and integration.  Intensives enable the brain to fully process a traumatic memory or several related memories in one session, rather than activating the same material week after week. It provides sustained therapeutic momentum for deeper processing and accelerated progress versus weekly therapy. As a result, intensives often lead to more powerful and lasting breakthrough moments.

  •  Intensive work is carefully paced with regular breaks and constant attention to your nervous system. I'm trained to recognize signs of overwhelm and adjust the pace accordingly. Your safety and comfort are always the priority.

  • Many clients find they need less ongoing therapy after intensive work. However, some follow-up sessions are often helpful for integration and addressing any new material that emerges.

  • Yes, most medications are compatible with EMDR intensive work. We'll discuss any medications during your consultation and coordinate with your prescribing provider if needed.

  • You may feel tired as your nervous system integrates the work. Some clients experience vivid dreams, emotional releases, or insights in the following days. This is normal and part of the healing process.
